Jennifer Oldroyd, CEO/Mom
ceoMom was started by a mom who learned the hard way what it takes to run a household. Jennifer Oldroyd, mother of two children, had no problem in the business world. After graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in Journalism, she started her marketing career in advertising working for creative agencies in Washington, DC and Salt Lake City. Jennifer then followed her entrepreneurial spirit and successfully opened an award winning bridal store, website and magazine. She also started a real estate investing company and consulted for numerous businesses and start-ups over the last decade.
But all this experience still left Jennifer clueless trying to raise a family and maintain a household. That is until she learned to bring the two worlds together. Jennifer noticed many similarities between running a successful company and growing a successful family. And with that, ceoMom was born.
Jennifer knew she had something to share with other moms when friends would constantly ask her for advice especially when it came to personal finances and raising self-confident independent children. "When moms have the right information, they can act on it and that relieves the stress so many of us carry," says Jennifer.
But Jennifer's vision for ceoMom surpassed herself. "I believe moms everywhere are CEO material," she says. "If we can come together and share our experiences, we can all be successful in our jobs as mothers." And that is the vision for ceoMom.
