Building Self-Confidence

Good job! You did it! Wow! Give me five. You're so pretty. You're a genius!

Simple fact: We want our children to have good self-confidence. We want our sons and daughters to look in the mirror and like what they see. We want them to know how special they are, that they can do anything they set their minds to and ultimately we want to see our children become successful adults.

Self-confidence gives a child (and adult) power. Power to make things happen. Power to feel worthy of making friends. Power to achieve in life. When one realizes their worth, their innate ability to thrive, they reach for success.

Your job as ceoMom is to build your child's self-worth, so they can be confident and successful individuals now and later in life. It's hard to think there will be people out there ready and willing to tear your little one down. The kid at the playground, the unfair teacher, the supervisor at work… Helping your child build their confidence will help combat the rigors of life. They will be better able to overcome the obstacles waiting ahead of them.

There are benefits for mom too. A positive self-image in children can help with behavior problems (yes!). When children value themselves, they tend to make friends easier, achieve in school and get along better with siblings and family situations. Building your child's confidence will positively affect the world in which he/she lives.

ceoMom's everywhere are raising their children to achieve through positive reinforcement, teaching communication skills and by spending time with their children. The following will give you ideas on how to do the same.

  1. Building Confidence: Brain Power
  2. Building Confidence: Communication Skills
  3. Building Confidence: Your Time

Healthy children start with a healthy mind. When your children realize their potential – because of your inspiration – the reward will be lifelong.
