Fast and Furious Workouts

It is tough to workout as a mom. Sometimes I only have a half hour at the gym. A great resource for quick and "kick your butt" workouts is http://www.crossfit.com/. I admit it takes some time to learn your way around the site and to learn the different exercises, but once you get proficient at it, you can get the workout of your life in 20 to 30 minutes. It is a fantastic combo of both cardio and strength and leaves me sore the next day (from 20 minutes!)

The site posts instructions for a NEW WORKOUT everyday and little videos of each exercise, so you understand what they are doing. A break off from this site is http://www.crossfit801.com/. Sometimes I'll look at both sites and pick the workout that sounds the most appealing. It's seriously a great workout when you are pressed for time (or anytime).

I'll definitely have to check this one out!

My favorite 20-minute workout is the Jillian Michael's DVD, 30-day shred. Holy moley - I consider myself in decent shape, and it leaves me sore EVERY time. There's three different levels to choose from to keep things fresh!
