What about providing daycare for 1 or 2 children in your home? Many families are uncomfortable with large daycare or preschool settings and opting instead for an in-home environment. Please check with your local Child Services Division to find out how many children you can add to your household without having to register as a provider. Fees vary throughout the country, so you are best advised to do your own field study in your state and determine your fees accordingly. Also, have you considered tutoring or maybe offering music lessons, etc.?

My next door neighbor started a preschool in her home and it's the neighborhood craze. We all want our kids with her. She has a morning and afternoon session (2.5 hours each) for three and four year olds.

Thanks those are great ideas, but I am not able to do that. My son is autistic and requires alot of care and has frequent doctors appointments. Also my daughter is bi-polar and also has doctor appointments.
