It sounds like you're starting out right with your marathon training. Build slowly and add a little bit onto your longest run every other week. When I train for a marathon, I run 3 times a week and bike once a week (it doesn't matter if it is a spin class or outside for an hour). When I had younger children, I ran early in the mornings; now I run when my daughter is in preschool. You can run slower on the days you run a longer distance, but on some of your shorter runs, try to push your speed. Feel free to add me as your Associate on ceoMom and we can talk more!
