Just a Little Hot Water

I recently tried to open a glass of canned homemade peaches and a syrup container I had stored in the refrigerator with no avail. Since both items felt sticky around the lids, I figured hot water might loosen them up. I held the jars under running hot tab water for about 60 seconds and voila! They opened without a problem.

So remember next time you have trouble opening a glass container -- just a little hot water will do the trick!
