Cleaning Leather Seats and Couches

I sometimes have trouble cleaning my leather seats in my car and I'm sure I'd have the same problem if I had leather couches in my house. This is what I do to clean up my leather after my kids have done their best to destroy it:

-- Use a small amount of gentle moisturizing soap on a damp kitchen towel and begin to wipe down leather. If some suds appear, that is ok. Just don't add too much water. Wipe away soap with a fresh damp towel. Finalize by drying the leather with a clean dry towel.

Note: You can use "green" soap to make cleaning eco-friendly. I've even used a dab of "Green Works" natural dishwashing liquid found at Target and most stores.

Note: You can treat the leather with a "leather conditioner" too.

-- To get rid of crayons and pens, try using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Do a little test spot to make sure it won't bleach your leather. My leather is a light color, so it works just fine.
