Just do it! I went back to college about six months ago to get my master's degree. My daughter had just turned five and I was very hesitant, but it has been great. You will be a better role model for your children and it is nice to focus attention on something else that will help to improve yourself. I have had many opportunities to go back to school or start some kind of endorsement program and I always worried about starting back to school until I thought about what I would tell my kids about education -- lifelong learning and furthering your education is never the wrong decision, only good will come of it.
I completely understand the reasons why you are hesitant, but you can and should do it. Nowadays there are many opportunities to get an education other than just sitting in a classroom. When I started my master's, I found a great program that I am able to do on my own time, not on another person's time or based on a classroom schedule. I can write papers, read or study when my little one is in bed or when it works for me. So I suggest looking around to find a school/program that works the best for you and your family. Yes, going back to school has been a lot of work and sometimes I get frustrated, but it is doable.
