My best resource when I have a tricky gift to buy is: "The GIFTionary: An A-Z Reference Guide for Solving Your Gift-Giving Dilemmas Forever" by Robyn Freedman Spizman. She gives all sorts of suggestions for gifts that are thoughtful and "outside the box." Even if I don't get the exact idea for the gift from this book, it sparks my mind to think in creative ways and come up with a fun solution. I hope you found something special for your dad's retirement!
