I have FOUR daughters and feel like I'm all thumbs when it comes to doing their hair. My best helper has been "Hair: Styling Tips and Tricks for Girls" from the American Girl Library. You can find it at AmericanGirl.com or on Amazon for about $9.00. It has got clear, step-by-step instructions and pictures for all kinds of cute hair styles for girls. We keep our copy in the hair drawer next to the barrettes and hair elastics. It is so worn out, I had to take it to Kinkos to replace the spine. It has given me tons of confidence and ideas for my girls' hair.
Another suggestion is to make the most of your hair stylist. Whenever I take the girls to get their hair cut, I ask our stylist to show me some cute ways I can fix their hair. She has taught me "messy buns" and way cool tricks with bobby pins.
It's a lot of work to do hair everyday, but a great problem to have don't you think?
