Great New Kids DVD That Teaches About Protecting the Environment

I am always looking for great teaching tools to educate my kids on protecting the environment and being earth conscience. I heard about the new Barney "Jungle Friends" movie and figured my kids were too old (ages 7 and 5), but to my surprise, they LOVE the video. I think this will be a hit for kids of all ages.

In the Barney Jungle Friends DVD, the kids are told they must cut down a tree in order to put their play ground in a particular spot. So Barney and the kids end up going to the jungle and meeting Mother Earth who teaches them about caring for the world. In the end, the kids decide to move their play set to a new area so they can save the tree. It's a wonderful story that is a bit more mature than a regular Barney show.

The DVD also comes with a music CD that my kids are listening to while I type this. "Every day is earth day" is my favorite song. This music helps reinforce the message of the movie.
