I just finished a workshop on Developmental Fun titled "Wet, Gooey and Lumpy."
I had so much fun creating on the finger painting table that I thought I should share the recipe with you.
You need glossy finger painting paper or wax paper to cover the table, food coloring, comb, old toothbrush, paint brushes, etc.
Put globs of Karo Syrup on the paper. Have child add drops of food coloring to syrup.
Children learn to mix primary colors, create art and an added bonus is it's finger-licking good.
Warning: Make sure to isolate the drying area. Very sticky until syrup sets. It has been reported that when one family put their art out to dry, the neighbor's dog found it very tasty and returned home with it attached to his nose.
