We had a fun old time party with paper doilies, lots of little sweets cut up and served on silver, tea sandwiches all served on thrift store mis-matched tea cups and saucers and plates. The decor was very girlie and the girls came dressed up. We made herbal apricot tea just for them to try (they all hated it, but it was still fun). Lemonade was the hit.
For crafts we made the tea hats that are already in my tips list and paper bead necklaces (I bought the Martha Stewart kit at Michaels crafts). These are time consuming, so I had pre-rolled them so that is was easier for the girls (Ieft one bead for each of them to make on their own). We also read a story of my daughter's choice, painted nails and decorated them with little jewels and played one game. They all got a little treat to take home along with their new bonnet. It was a fun party and inexpensive.
