Omega-3 and Your Joints

Last Wednesday I had a follow-up appointment with my orthopedic surgeon. To my surprise, he suggested I eat Omega rich foods and/or take supplements to keep the joints of my body, especially my knees, from deteriorating prematurely. I didn't know Omega-3's helped with preserving your joints!

He also made sure I understood the importance of third party approval when choosing a supplement. After some research I decided on Norwegian Cod Liver Oil high in EPA and DHA. This particular Cod Liver Oil comes from the livers of fresh cod fish, found in the arctic ocean waters of Norway. The oil is separated from the liver tissues without the use of chemicals. To ensure the freshness of the oil, the air inside the bottle is replaced with nitrogen and natural-source vitamin E is added. It has a great lemon taste. This product can be found in health stores and or your nature health practitioner.
