Weekend "Girls Only" Retreat

Four of us moms planned a "girls only" retreat where we went away for a weekend and left the kids with their dads. What a fun time we had! We originally wanted to head south, drive for a few hours and really get away, but our schedules allowed for only a quick getaway. So we ended up being "tourists in our own back yard" so to speak and got a hotel about 45 minutes away in a resort town. You know, the place everyone goes to when they visit in our neck of the woods, but the place we hardly go to. Where can you do that near you?

We stayed at a five-start hotel and split the bill four ways. We spent four hours at the spa using their spa facilities, spent an afternoon by the pool, saw a movie in town, ate at good restaurants and caught up on all our girl talk. So much fun and a much needed break!
