My daughter had her first ballet recital last weekend and I was worried about leaving her backstage. There were safety concerns, but also she needed help changing into her costumes. I wanted to enjoy the show and see her dance on stage.... So, I hired a babysitter!
For $20, I hired our favorite babysitter to stay backstage, watch and entertain my daughter and help her change into her costumes. I sat on the third row -- worry free -- and enjoyed the show.
All the other moms thought it was a genius idea. I admit it wasn't my idea to begin with. I was hired to tend backstage for a little girl when I was a teenager. ;)
