Often when baking and a recipe calls for 1 tbsp (or amount is called for) of vegetable oil, I instead use unsweetened apple sauce. I've never found it to make a difference in the recipe and my family hasn't tasted a difference. Though I'm sure our bodies appreciate it.
2 tsp = 80 calories and 9 g of fat -- OR -- 2/3 cup = 70 caloreies and 0 g of fat
