Messaging My Daughter’s Room: Determined to Fly

I wanted to message my daughter’s room and teach her about herself at the same time. I noticed as early as age two that she was a determined little one. If she wanted to climb something, she would figure a way how to get up there. Plus, she was a tough little cookie. Because of her shear determination, I wanted to message her room to incorporate this great trait, so she could foster it as she grew up.

When selecting her room theme, I chose butterflies that hang from the ceiling. They are really pretty butterflies. Then I had a message made from vinyl lettering that I literally just peeled and stuck on the wall above her bed. The message reads: Determined to Fly.

Obviously butterflies are determined to fly, because they had to go through metamorphosis from a caterpillar to wings. It is my hope as my little girl grows and develops that she will be determined to succeed in life. And whatever she turns into, may it be as beautiful as a butterfly.
