"Egg in a Basket"

A fun easy breakfast for kids that's yummy too:

Cut 1.5 in holes in bread, put in frying pan with butter. Crack an egg and drop it in the hole of the bread, flip, add cheese if desired.

My 4.5 yr old likes to put the butter and bread in the pan, my 8 yr old then cracks the egg and puts it in the pan and flips it. Finally the 4.5 yr old sprinkles cheese on top. Everyone has a part in the process and I get breakfast made for me! Takes 10 min. max.

I made it this morning and it was a total hit! And I have to say it was so yummy! Not only did I eat mine, I ate my girls' leftovers!

guess who just made EIAB (eggs in a basket) for both boys...... and guess who are eating all of them. after telling me about them for years (and i couldn't remember the details), they have finally become a breakfast staple in our morning routine.
