Brunch With Your Mom

ceoMom 306, Connie

A few years ago I was able to get tickets to a brunch and presentation at Thanksgiving point. My mom and I enjoyed wonderful food while listening to a wonderful talk by an amazing author. It was a chance to connect with my mom and enjoy a present that couldn't be tied together with a ribbon. We capped the afternoon off with the drive home talking about the experience.

I have also purchased tickets to concerts and plays for birthdays and other events. I have found that I enjoy attending these events with my parents more than they do, as I get to spend an evening alone with them -- without having to compete with my sisters. :)

I love you Connie! That's exactly what I needed! The older I get the more I just want to spend time with my family rather than buy a gift that doesn't really mean anything. We've done plays and things along those lines, so I think I'll do a lunch date with my mom! Thanks!

Reading Aimee's comment I have to concur. I too find it more important to spend time with my family especially since they live all over the country and Europe and I don't get to see them as often as I would like.
Thanks for a great tip.
