Shreading Chicken, Pork or Beef

ceoMom 306, Connie

It isn't fast, but it is so easy. I put my meat in my crock pot on low for 6-8 hours (chicken cooks a bit faster, between 4-6). After that long it practically shreds itself, but I just use two forks to shred it in the crock pot and then pour barbecue or teriyaki sauce over it. Voila! Instant delicious sandwiches.

The only problem is that it gives off such a great aroma as it is cooking that you find yourself snacking because you can't wait for dinner. This is a great meal if you are working. I just put it on in the morning and it is done when I get home!

I agree, this is the easiest way to cook meat. I also use this method for cooking chicken for tacos on days when I don't have time to think about dinner until it is dinner time. But, make sure you have snacks on hand, because it does make you hungry all day!
