It Doesn't Have to be Perfect

ceoMom 213, Randi

I learned a long time ago that our kids are not going to put things away the way we do (husbands either for that matter). I knew that my children needed to learn how to put things away and do chores. Rather than follow them around and make sure it is perfect, I let them do it in their own time and in their own way, with guidance. Yes, clothes may be a little wrinkled but THEY did it. One of the twins has started saying, "I can do this!" when something seems hard for him. That has become our reminder that it can be done even if it isn't perfect. I get more out of them when I give them a high 5 and a "good job" rather than being nit picky about how it isn't perfect.

Thank you! I need this reminder! I am much to hard on my children and my husband. I would love for them to be able to feel like a job well done instead of just not good enough!
