I know this topic is briefly discussed on this website, but I think it is very important. Please take the time to consider your current will and how the beneficiaries are listed on all of your accounts.
Quicken has a software package called "Willmaker" that you can use to make a Legal Will or a Living Trust. It is a great inexpensive place to start if you don't want to hire an attorney right now. It might be advisable to have your situation looked at by a professional if you can afford it. Some of our family members have been effected by poorly designed wills and one by not having one at all.
All I can say is that it is an ugly mess and trying to decide what the decedent would have wanted isn't as easy as you would think. Please don't wait; put your wishes in writing.
