I have really enjoyed watching the creativity bloom in my children. I went to the dollar store and created an art box. I added glue, paper, cardboard, scissors, yarn, paint, rocks, craft sticks, stickers, cut outs, pasta, feathers, pom-poms, etc. Whatever struck me as fun. I then let them pull it out whenever they are in the mood or bored. (It's also a great outside activity because of paint and glue.)
Try to back off and let them get messy and make lots of piles. They have really created some real treasures and studies say that creative kids are stronger cognitively.
