Make Homemade Baby Food!

ceoMom 466, Katie

I had my son December 2006. We started solid foods around 6-months old. I was breastfeeding and worked full-time. My family and friends would tell me I was crazy when they heard I made my own baby food too! They had no idea how easy it was, especially knowing the cost benefits, but most importantly the nutritional and health benefits!

I LIVED by this website for ideas, suggestions, tips and wonderful recipes: http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/

Good luck!

Wonderful! I've been looking for just this, since I'm just starting my baby in on rice cereal. Thank you.

I like that Web site too. The only recipe I couldn't quite get to work was the rice cereal recipe. My food processor would not grind up the raw or cooked rice in to a consistency that the baby would eat. But it has great tips on what foods you can give your baby and at what age, plus tips on using spices safely.

I have a 2mth old and am very excited about trying these when he's old enough.

Thanks for the site!

Although I didn't use the website you recommended. I did make a lot of my daughter's food when she was a baby. It was really easy and didn't take much time at all. It definitely helps you to save money and you know exactly what your child is eating. And when you freeze ice cube size portions it can be as convenient as the jarred baby food.
