I have been a member of our local food co-op for two months now. I have been very pleased. I heard about it several years ago, but always thought that it was for families that were struggling. I have been very pleased to find out what a great community group it is. My pick-up is less than a mile from my house. (In Utah, the food co-op is urban crossroads; check out their website or look for a co-op in your community.) My first ordered cost me $14 ( I also gave them a one time $10 donation) for $36 of fruit and veggies (I calculated what it would have cost at the grocery store after I picked up my first order).
