Kids Consignments are a Great Money Maker and Saver!

ceoMom 480, Anne

Look for kids consignment sales in your area. I've started participating in these and they are wonderful! Usually done two times a year in spring and fall. You clean out your closets of all baby and kids items that are gently used. You set a reasonable price and tag them. Then drop them off at the consignment sale where 100's of moms will have the opportunity to purchase them.

You get to keep around 70% of what you sell. There is sometimes a $10-$12 fee to participate. It's well worth it. You can charge more than a garage sale and you don't have to be at the sale. You just drop your items off and at the end you pick them up or you can choose to have them donate what you don't sell. I've made $600 in one sale before.

It's also a great place to get nice name brand clothes, shoes, toys and baby items for cheap! Plus, many times on the last day most everything is half off! You just can't beat the cheap prices. It's the only time that I buy name brand clothing for my children. It's the perfect place for expecting moms. Some sales also have maternity clothes. I highly recommend getting involved in these sales. A great way to make money and save money!

If there is a Once Upon a Child store in your area, you can bring the clothing there and they will pay you cash that day. They also accept toys!!
