Words from a 17-Year Old Daughter

My neighbor just called and asked if I'd proof her teenage daughter's school paper. My neighbor said she couldn't be objective and wanted me to read it instead and give any pointers. The reason why my neighbor couldn't be objective was because the paper was about her. Her daughter wrote an essay about an inspiration person and she chose to write it on her mom -- my neighbor.

As I read the paper, I could sense the daughter's deep love for her mom who made it through a big struggle in her life. I just wanted to tell you about two sentences that caught my attention.

This is written by a 17-year old:

"A woman should never be judged by how well she cooks or sews, but by what it takes to stop her. My mother did not let anything pull her down."

We can all learn something beautiful from this.
