My daughter loves to color and do art projects. She's three now, but has been coloring ever since she could hold a crayon. If your toddler likes to color, this is a fun project!
You simply cut out butterfly shapes (fold the paper in half and cut to make two sides of the same). I use fun scissors and make all different borders. You can also make heart shapes, cars, airplanes, gingerbread men, etc.
Let your child color the shapes. Then attach a pipe cleaner to the butterfly by cutting a slit and sliding the pipe cleaner in place.
My daughter loves to color it and then using the pipe cleaner as a handle, flies it all around the house. So fun!
