My 2 1/2 year old son is too busy to eat. So every morning, I mix him a protein shake with milk, yogurt, tofu, avocado, banana, other fruit (such as berries or mango and pineapple), a dash of protein (whey-based) powder, a dash of powdered flax seed and sometimes a little honey or maple syrup. He will always drink his "shake," so I know if he doesn't eat very well the rest of the day, I've gotten lots of protein, calcium and fruit into him.

What a fabulous idea! Who would have thought of protein powder and flax seed! Just fabulous!

This is what got us through a 2 month period with my daughter. She is lactose intolerant and while we were still trying to figure out what she could and couldn't have, she stopped eating a lot of things. BUT she would quickly drink a smoothie. :-)
