Grocery Shopping!

ceoMom #466, Katie

GOD BLESS those huge, almost embarrassing, carts with an attached car at the grocery store for my son! My son gets so disappointed when we get to a store and they either don't have them or they are all being used. A great substitute?

We save and recycle those fake plastic credit cards that are stamped: "YOUR NAME HERE" we get in our junk mail. I put them in an old wallet and my son charges up a storm while I do the shopping!

What a fabulous idea! I'll be doing this for sure. I am honestly sometimes scared to pay for my groceries in fear that my daughter has gone through my wallet and taken out my cards. Now she'll have her own set!

Just also make sure to teach them how the money gets on those cards. So many children actually think that plastic is an endless supply of money. I wonder who models that for them?

This is a good idea too! I carry a calculator with me to add up my items as I go along, if they are old enough you could have them use the calculator while you are shopping
