Have Friends Over

I was thinking about my school age years when I started to be independent. If I had felt like I could have my friends over all of the time, I would have kept my room clean.

Maybe instead of asking your daughter to clean or de-clutter her room, invite her to have her friends over. The more frequently they come, the cleaner her room will probably become.
