When we go through our junk, let's face it: sometimes there's so much to go through that it takes days. But is sure feels good to get it done. The next question is to figure out what to do with all of it. Of course you can have a garage sale, but here are a few other ideas when you just want to get rid of it quick and easy:
-- You can list them on craigslist.com or local websites (for my area, ksl.com is great), post a photo and say the item is FREE, so long as they come and get it immediately. This is how I donated a swingset and bbq last summer.
-- You can call 1-800-GOT-JUNK and have them pick it up. Too easy.
-- You can find a local person who is a professional E-bay seller. They sell your items, do all the work and get part of the cut. I'm sure you can Google and find a person in your area.
-- You can donate your items to a good cause like the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. You can Google to find the one in your area. They will send a truck to your house and pick up your items.
Have fun and enjoy your clutter-free home!
