Holiday Kid Projects: Candy Garlands and Creative Lights

The following activities are very popular throughout Europe, especially around Christmas time. Kids have so much fun doing these projects!

CANDY GARLANDS

Candy garlands are fun for Christmas, birthdays or any other celebratory occasion.

You need:

Plenty of rapped candies in different colors and shapes, paper cut outs, pine cones or anything else you like to string.

1. Cut the ribbon twice as long as the desired length of garland.
2. Lay candy in front of you on a table.
3. Tie all candies, paper cut outs, pine cones etc. one at the time on the ribbon, making sure to keep the same distance.

CREATIVE HOLIDAY LIGHTS FOR YOUR WINDOW

You need:
-- Glass jars
-- Tee lights
-- Paintbrush
-- Paints for glass painting

1. Paint the outside of glass jar, choose your own design or copy from other resources.
2. After the paint has dried, put some water into the jar and add pieces of pine, twigs, flowers, grasses, moss or whatever else is beautiful.
3. Place the tee light in center.

I have tried both activities for different occasions and they turned out just beautiful. So fun for kids!
