Olive Oil vs. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

ceoMom 101, Jennifer

I have always wanted to know the difference and today on Oprah, they explained it. Finally, I know! Here it is: Use extra virgin olive oil for breads and dipping. Use regular (cheaper) olive oil for frying or when you cook in a pan. If you try to use extra virgin for frying, it will taste bitter. Now I know why my French toast never turns out when I use olive oil! I just need to switch to regular olive oil for the pan and I can still reap the health benefits without the bitter taste! Cool!
