Hi ceoMom -- The Olympics are here and so is a killer mom. At age 41, Dara Torres is the oldest Olympic swimmer in history -- and a mother. The Beijing Olympics marks her 5th Olympic games and, if you saw it, her 10th career Olympic medal as the anchor of the women's rely team. Her first Olympics in 1984 was a year before Michaels Phelps was even born. This mom of a 2-year old girl is one hot example. She'll swim again this Saturday in the 50 m freestyle going for another medal.
This is a reminder to us all that whatever you do, do it well. Whether it's a home project, teaching your child to read, running a half marathon, your job, swinging your child at the park or seeing if you can still do a cartwheel after all these years, give it your all. Give your full attention to whatever you are doing and make it great! You may not see a gold medal, but you'll notice a level of quality come into your life. And the joy of being and experiencing everything will be a little sweeter. Go mom!
Love,
