ceoMom Agenda - May Day

 Thursday, May 1, 2008

on the job training for the Executive Domestic

Welcome to a new month ceoMoms! I love May! It being the first, today we celebrate May Day -- a cross-quarter day, meaning that it falls approximately halfway between a solstice and an equinox (two positions of the sun over the earth). When I was a kid, May Day meant picking flowers, putting them on neighbors' doorsteps, ringing the doorbell and running. We loved surprising our neighbors with flowers!

April showers bring May flowers. And flowers are a simple pleasure that can bring a smile to us even when we feel tired or stressed-out. Today, it's time to stop and smell the roses: Go and buy yourself some beautiful flowers! It's just the right day to treat ourselves.

Love,
ceoMom 101

WEEKLY DAYBOOK TOPIC
This week take a few moments and write down what you think is beautiful. Maybe it’s a sunset, a rainy afternoon, a desert flower or the twinkle in your child’s eyes. How do you see beauty?

How cute--the neighbors and flowers bit. What a fun tradition.
